Missouri’s State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors stripped Andrew “Andy” Trammel Moore of Butler County of both his professional credentials — funeral director license 2001012178 and embalmer license 2002003610 — the state’s Department of Commerce and Insurance (DCI) announced March 26, 2026. DCI cited two documentation failures under Missouri Revised Statutes sections 333.330 and 193.145: giving false information about final disposition on one death certificate, and never filing a death certificate for a second individual.
With both licenses gone, DCI’s notice makes clear Moore is barred from working, or holding himself out, as either a funeral director or an embalmer anywhere in the state. Region 8 News (KAIT8), a local television outlet covering southeastern Missouri, reported the same revocation the same day.
