Accessibility

Aftercare Report is built to be usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology, keyboard-only navigation, screen readers, magnification and browser dark mode.

Standard

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Specifically, the site is built with:

A skip link to the main content on every page.
Landmark regions (header, navigation, main, sidebar, footer) so assistive technology can jump between sections.
One clear heading (H1) per page with an ordered structure beneath it, never skipped for visual effect.
Text colour combinations checked against WCAG contrast ratios in both light and dark colour schemes.
A visible 3px focus outline on every interactive element, for people navigating by keyboard.
No content that flashes, autoplays or moves; prefers-reduced-motion is honoured, though the site uses essentially no motion regardless.
Minimum 44px touch targets on every link, button and form control.
No images anywhere on the site (see our editorial standards for why), so there is no image-related accessibility risk to manage in the first place.
A responsive layout that reflows correctly down to a 320px-wide viewport without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

This is a newly built site. If you use assistive technology and find something that does not work the way it should, that is useful information and we want to hear it.

Reporting a problem

Write to hello@aftercarereport.com describing the page, what assistive technology or browser you were using, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to fix confirmed issues promptly.
